Sensors have been capturing important data in industry for decades. Technological developments are enabling more and more intelligence and connectivity to be built into sensors to capture, process and deliver ever more critical data. It begins with a detailed understanding of the problem or challenge and the information which is required to make that problem addressable.
Bespoke sensors
Bespoke sensors can embed sophisticated levels of data capture and processing. A new data capturing mechanism can mean changes in the production environment.
Integration of intelligent sensors into complex industrial infrastructures can requires changes to current processes. It requires careful planning and the engagement of key internal stakeholders, such as the risk management and I.T. teams.
Systems integration, such as realtime data transfer into workflow systems, requires multiple teams working together. Project management is a key element.
Digital data to the dashboard
The dashboard presents data from multiple sources to support decision-makers, trigger early-warning alerts, and/or enable fine-tuning of automated processes in realtime.
When we assess the requirement, we look first at what is already available and can be adapted. If a sensor exists on the market, we will identify it. If the challenge is new or unique and requires a bespoke sensor design and development we have the experience and expertise.
In recent projects we have developed advanced signal processing, efficient data capture techniques and intelligent algorithms to securely transmit precision metrics such as subtle changes in critical chemical or physical parameters to the dashboard. We design for low noise, high precision signal capture, and efficiency in image and signal processing, so that well-qualified, trusted data is transmitted with integrity and security to the dashboard.
